About CRD
Prep Divison

CRD Prep Division provides dancers ages 5-9 with increased opportunities to perform through competition. Mini dancers will gain confidence and further develop their love of dance as they prepare to compete. Our faculty will inspire, encourage, and lead our Prep Division dancers through their early years at competition!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW Ages 5-9 years:

Season runs September-June

We compete as a group at 2-3 local competitions each season.

Students are invited to be part of routines in the genres that match their age range and ability level. Parents then select the routines they would like their child to perform from the invitation list.

Costumes for competition are to be purchased or, in the case of a more expensive costume being selected by the choreographer, rented at $50 per routine.

Dance exams in jazz, tap, and ballet are available through the studio, and are separate from the CRD Prep Division. The CRD Prep Division Focus is developing confidence and experience in performing.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
CRD Prep Division adds only choreography rehearsals to their schedules. This age range is not physiologically ready for intense athletic training so extra technique training is not required to compete. The training the students receive in their regular classes is already designed to develop strong technical foundations.

Our students are driven and committed. We want them to excel through quality training and life balance. We create schedules that provide our mini dancers with classes scheduled during age-appropriate times and the correct frequency of training for each stage of development. Choreography and rehearsals are mostly done on days when the students already have classes to avoid adding extra days at the studio to their schedule.
FEES:

The prices listed below includes all rehearsals, music editing, and choreography fees.
Solos-$400
Duos/Trios- $250 per dancer
Groups routines-$200 per dancer

AUDITION:

An audition is not required of dancers in the Prep Division age group. Dancers are assessed in their regular classes and invited to compete based on readiness.
