To submit an audition for the Calgary Regional Dance Company or Calgary Regional Ballet Company, please email auditions@calgaryregionaldance.com with the following included:
1. Personal Information
-Parent/Guardian name and contact information
-Dancer full name and date of birth
-School grade attending in September 2021
-Brief summary of previous dance training
-Specify which company/companies you are auditioning for: Calgary Regional Dance Company, Calgary Regional Ballet Company, or both. You may audition for both companies with the same application.
2. A short ballet barre filmed in a studio or a home including combinations of plié, battement tendu/jeté, ronds de jambe à terre, fondu to 45 degrees or above, grand battement, and développés to arabesque, à la second, criosé devant and effacé devant. Include work on both sides (but not both sides for each exercise) and alternate filing from directly side and directly front. Max 6 min.
3. Solo routine/s in any genre filmed on stage or in a studio setting. Max 3 min
